In addition to cello stuff, I'm was also a member of
Partch from 2005-2008, an ensemble based in Los
Angeles (founded by John Schneider) that plays the
music of the wonderful microtonal composer, Harry
Partch. In Partch I played the kithara (72-stringed
instrument with glass rods) and the adapted viola.
Our performance of "Castor & Pollux" is featured on
the new DVD, ENCLOSURE 8, released by Innova
Records.
Psst. I'm also a rather mediocre viola da gamba
player. Since I am studying at Longy I will be
exploring the world of early music more, and
perhaps this extra factoid about me will someday  
be of greater significance. But for now...I just own
one and occasionally read through some Hume and
Boismortier. This is a viola da gamba (not mine):
